What is the hCG Diet?
The hCG diet was first developed and used on patients in India with very specific medical disorders. When combined with a 500 calorie diet, researchers found that subjects were able to lose weight……yes, we know just how ridiculous that sounds. If you limit yourself to 500 calories a day, how could you not lose weight, and yet thousands of people pay hundreds of dollars a piece to starve themselves while being injected with a pregnancy hormone.
However, there is more than one product that has used the hCG name without using the hCG hormone. It’s all a media tactic.
What Does HCG Lean 2000 Really Use?
HCG Lean 2000 is actually a homeopathic liquid treatment made up of natural proteins and amino acids. It sounds gentle enough, and studies have shown that a high protein diet can help users to lose weight. We take protein supplements all the time for muscle building, meaning that logically, a protein supplement could have a mild effect.
You probably won’t lose 1 pound a day if you’re following a healthy (and sustainable) weight loss plan. However, that doesn’t mean that HCG Lean 2000 doesn’t rely mostly if not entirely on the diet.
Why HCG Lean 2000 Isn’t Necessarily Proven
HCG Lean 2000 uses a homeopathic approach, which means that HCG Lean 2000 doesn’t even give you the proteins it describes. Homeopathy is a method of distilling ingredients into water to the point where the only ingredient you are actually getting is water. A couple drops under the tongue probably won’t help you to lose weight.
Why Are Dieters Losing Weight with HCG Lean 2000?
HCG Lean 2000 gives fairly specific instructions about how to lose weight with HCG Lean 2000. More specifically, it tells users to follow a low carb diet with no bread, potatoes, soda, beer, or sugars. It may not be a 500 calorie diet, but a lot of low carb diets (especially the extreme ones like the Atkins Diet) are still extremely unhealthy and unsustainable.
HCG Lean 2000 further instructs users to follow a strict 1000 calorie diet, which is about as low as dieticians recommend anybody go to lose weight. Most dieticians still recommend 1200 to 1800 calories depending on your activity level to lose weight, which again begs the question how could you not lose weight on that kind of diet?
HCG Lean 2000’s formula seems relatively safe, and we don’t see HCG Lean 2000 causing any serious side effects. However, while it is better (because it’s safer and more natural) than hCG, the entire reason why HCG Lean 2000 users lose weight is because of the specific diet plan, not the supplement itself.
